Dartmoor ponies have roamed the moors for many centuries, and a wonderful way to experience the dramatic scenery of Dartmoor is from the saddle of a horse. Horseriding on the moors is a popular activity and a very pleasurable way to explore the area.
Babeny Farm Stables and trekking centre have horses to suit all ages and experience. Riders can enjoy the many bridlepaths in the area, and most of the historic routes cross wooded areas and farmland linking with ancient settlements; such as standing stones and hut circles dating from prehistoric times.
Babeny Farm Stables is located in the picturesque historic moorland village Poundsgate. Historically it formed part of Haytor Hundred. Hamlet of Widecombe-in-the-Moor.
