The Wildlife Trusts have launched a major, national campaign to help ensure a better future for the amazing wildlife that depends on our seas for survival. This future is under threat from the pressures of pollution, oil spills, over-intensive fishing and the entanglement of dolphins, turtles and seabirds in fishing gear. It is estimated that more than half of the UK’s wildlife is in the seas. We have almost the highest diversity of marine habitats and species of any European country, but it is all at risk.
