History of The Paignton Cosmopolitan
The Cosmopolitan was created on June 9th, 2006. Previously known as the Hotel Fiesta, the property was a little 'tired' in it's decor and maintenance and it's target market was rather different to that which we attract today.

The changes that we have introduced since June 9th, 2006 mean that we have an in-room beverage service and higher standards of comfort in the bedrooms. High standards of comfort mean new beds and mattresses, new carpets, new furniture in most rooms, new refreshment stations, new TV's, 40 or so Freeview digital channels and rigorous cleaning regimes.

All of the bedrooms have been redecorated and their en-suites refurbished to a high, modern standard. We are particularly proud of Room One, a superior room which features a Japanese Soaking Tub for two! This will be attractive to those who enjoy a soak in the bath after a shower - in the traditional Japanese way. Our other Superior Room, Room 4, offers excellent views down to the beach and a relaxing seating area. And in December 2007 we unveiled our new Deluxe Room (2) which has it's own infra-red 2-person Sauna. Great for your body and very relaxing! The former lounge has become the new Dining Room and reflects the style that we have introduced throughout the premises, with comfortable, stylish high-back leather chairs and rubber-wood tables with chrome bases. The modern oil paintings on the walls are originals and add colour to our standard decor of white walls and cinnamon-coloured carpets.

The frontage of the property has been extensively remodelled, with new signage and branding, fresh paint and iron railings that complement the age of the building (believed to have been built around 1905).

We've had the roofs renewed. We're moving the kitchen too, so that it's nearer the new dining room. This will save our legs and improve our service standards.

We could go on and on about what we've done to improve the property and your experience here, but we don't want to bore you. Suffice to say that we haven't skimped on the essentials and we hope that your stay with us will be pleasant because of that!

We believe that the refurbished and remodelled Cosmopolitan represents the new standard of B & B accommodation for the 21st Century.

Your safety and security are paramount
The improvements that we have made here are not simply cosmetic. We have overhauled the electrics so that they are safe, we have a new fire alarm that complies with the most recent regulations and we have installed CCTV to monitor both inside the premises and external carpark areas.
