Tucked away in the thatched village of Cockington, we nestle at the heart of Cockington Country Park - an oasis of peace and tranquility for those seeking that something special.

Lanscombe House is a small, family run, non smoking hotel, that offers luxury bed and breakfast accommodation with a relaxed country house ambience in a peaceful location inside Cockington Country Park. The hotel is the listed former Dowagers House to the Cockington Court estate and boasts eight refurbished and individual en-suite bedrooms.

Situated away from the hustle and bustle of Torquay, Cockington Country Park and its preserved thatched village lie just moments from the beautiful south Devon Coastline. Wander through the organic gardens, enjoy the nature walks, browse the craft centre before taking a relaxing ride on a horse drawn Victorian carriage and indulging in a Devon cream tea.

In the evenings, enjoy a short stroll to the famous local pub and restaurant, the Drum Inn, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, or a little further afield enjoy the excellent food the Bay has to offer from the many superb restaurants.

Our popular tearooms are open during the summer season where we offer a complementary cream tea - the famous Devon speciality made with clotted cream, hand made jam and our own scones - served in the tearoom or gardens.

Located between Torquay and Paignton, Lanscombe House is the perfect base for local amenities and as a base to explore Devon - from the numerous tourist attractions to the unspoilt coastlines and the wilds of Dartmoor – everything is within easy reach.

All our rooms have now been refurbished with beautiful en-suites with either baths or showers, new carpets and decorations. You have a colour t.v. and a complementary beverage tray in your room and a small selection of complementary toiletries. We offer a complementary cream tea in our speciality Cream Tea Rooms (when open during the summer season).

All prices are based on two people sharing a twin or double room with en-suite facilities, colour t.v., central heating and complimentary beverage tray for two nights and include a full cooked breakfast of your choice.
