Torquay Harbourside
This really is the centre of Torquay's nightlife. Here's just a taster of what's on offer.
- Shiraz: a relaxed cafe bar with terrace tables.
- Vaughan's: a small clubbers bar DJs and with terrace table.
- London Inn: Wetherspoons, no entertainment
- Café Mambo: on three floors with party DJs and Shooters Bar on ground, Sophisticated acid jazz on the middle with a patio overlooking harbour and Smove nightclub on third with sophisticated R&B and garage DJs.
- Claire's Nightclub: big Name DJs, dance, R&B DJs.
- The Venue: Torquay's largest club on 3 floors, middle of the road and a young crowd.
- Rocky's Nightclub and Club Ibiza: both mainly gay clubs.
- Devon Arms: live entertainment, jazz and some cabaret.
- Park Lane: a popular middle of the road club.
- Route 66: nightclub, middle of the road, DJs.

Torquay Seafront & Belgravia
Up Belgrave Road and along the Seafront Try:
- Club Rainbow: Torquay's only cabaret club.
- Appleby's: live bands and a large patio.
- Cafe Mojos: live music and DJs.
Torquay Town Centre
Up in the main precinct there is a good mix of late pubs and smaller entertainment bars. Try:
- Crazy Horse Saloon: a fun party and sports bar with DJs.
- Cider Press: a small bar with live music.
- Yates Wine Lodge: a busy pub with middle of the road music.
- Hop'n'Grapes: a lively pub with middle of the road DJs.
Keep going up the hill and you'll arrive at another hub of nightlife on Abbey Road.
- Fat Catz and ZanziBar: café/bars with latest grooves.
- EJ's, Hot 'n' Blues and Mouse Trap: good fun pubs.
A short walk from Abbey Road takes you to Union Street.
- The Valbonne: nightclub, playing the best in pop, r‘n’b and commercial tunes.
- Chaplins, Café Prague: café/bars by day / hot tunes and good vibes by night.
- The Jolly Judge: good food and sports TV entertainment.
- Bar Code: stylish café/bar with resident DJ playing the latest in soul, r’n’b and hip hop.
- Bar One and Bar Med: modern style pubs both situated at the bottom of Fleet Walk.
Paignton
Paignton's nightlife is geared very much towards live entertainment with more of a family feel but still has some excellent late night venues. Try:
- Lighthouse: Fun pub 'n' nightclub right on the seafront
- Crazy Horse Saloon: the town's main nightclub.
- Spinning Wheel: real character and live music every night.
- Inn on the Green: live music seven nights a week
- Half Moon, Preston: a packed programme of mainly tribute bands.
- Isaac Merrit : Wetherspoons pub.
- Other lively town centre pubs: Winstons, DJs, Henry's.
Brixham
Life revolves around the harbourside where there are some excellent pubs and restaurants all with real local character and some with live entertainment. The back streets are packed with little bars, cafes and bistros. The Quayside Hotel, Berry Head Hotel and Bolton have occasional live music.
