About Go Torbay

Go Torbay is an independent community website covering Torquay, Paignton and Brixham – the three towns of the English Riviera.

Founded in 1998 as a holiday-listings directory, it’s been published continuously since. In 2026 the site was rebuilt as a full community hub – bringing together local news, what’s on, weather and the bay’s hospitality and food scene in one place.

The site is locally run from Devon, hosted on 100% renewable energy, and free to use. Sister sites cover Exeter and Totnes.

Technical: built by Shout Websites in Newton Abbot, using WordPress with a custom theme. The page you’re reading loads in under a second thanks to static-HTML caching.
