Golden Hind
True replica of Francis Drake’s ship which was the first vessel to circumnavigate the globe. Originally set out to make a two month voyage which turned out to be a three year round the world trip! Amazing to see the size of the ship which set sail with over 70 crew plus livestock for food! Really interesting and gives you an understanding of how difficult life on the high seas must have been. Helpful guide on board which made it a very enjoyable visit. Would be great for kids but anyone with physical disabilities may struggle to use the steep steps and low ceilings.
